~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*****~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now that all of that is out of the way, now its time to get down to the actual crafting! I've supplied several choices to
choose from, generally what worked best for me, and what may be best available at any given time. Also, I tended to
avoid the items that were a total loss to me to craft. As prices have gone up since I first started on this path, my selections
may be a bit off; thus ultimately its up to you to chose whats best for you to craft at any given time. Remember to take into
account which regions are controlled by bstmen and which are controlled by countries - allowing you to get the goods cheaper
(usually) through the Regional Merchant NPCs. My best advice is to be patient and wait if the goods are available only
through the AH. Most players tend to jack up the prices when they are not NPC sold, and it will help your pockets to
wait till they are.
~ note: I didn't include any of the special recipes (ie. those requiring patissier, raw fish handling, stew pot mastery, ect)
only because not everyone is going to have those abilities as SOON as they are available. This guide is set to aid, not
impede, the leveling of this craft. But ( by all means!) if you have those skills, and a synth coincides with a level gain
possibility - go for it!
As always, if you have any questions regarding Cooking, please feel free to drop me a line.
Bon Apetite!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*****~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1-2 Roasted Corn
Millioncorn is cheap, but its the fire crystals that can kill you. If you are willing to spend the money, go for it, if not skip to the
next synth

Fire Cystal x Millioncorn
Yield: 1
Stack: 12

1-3 Carrot Broth
its cheap - the materials are always available from the NPC in sandy near the ah, and selling it back to the npc doesn't
hurt too badly. Don't waste your time trying to sell it in the ah, it's an unfortunate waste of gil, and almost never sells

Water Crystal x 4 Sandorian Carrots
Yield: 4
Stack: 12

3-6 Grilled Hare
The hare meat is fairly easy to harvest for yourself, as long as you dont mind the tedium =D If you happen to be leveling a
new job, head out to ronf. or la theine and start farming away. Any Hides you get can be used to lvl leathercraft, gain sandy
fame, or sold in the AH. Also not too bad of a starting melee food, so can possibly also be used with said starting job!

Fire Crystal x Dried Marjoram, Hare Meat
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

6-10 Orange Juice
great item, if you have a mule, make a bunch, set it out near an AH and let nature take it's course. Saruta Oranges
can be gotten from an NPC near the northern gate to sarutabaruta in Windy Waters (North). Dont EVER buy from
an AH or the guild. Prices are inflated and there are generally never enough for you to work with. Also a great
item to use if you are leveling a low lvl mage! Priceless while solo'ing or in the dunes. The extra MP will really make
a difference. ONLY problem I have with Juices is they DO NOT stack =X I was browsing through Alla the other
day and saw a quote that really made me think... A player can carry 40 over-sized beds at once, yet is unable to
stack 2 small bottles.... makes you wonder wth SE was drinking when they came up with that!

Water Crystal x 4 Saruta Oranges
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

10-16 Roast Mushroom
The first godly whm food - hMP, MP+, MND+ it has it all! Shrooms are also wicked easy to farm at any lvl - ALL
funguars will drop them and you should be able to get a stack or so in an hour farming/leveling on a good day.
Unfortunately, the shrooms are NOT sold by any NPC's, but use the AH as your last resort. Again, they AH prices are
wicked high, and buying from the AH will generally result in no profit to MAJOR loss to you. (make sure to get synth
suport from the guild if you attempt to start leveling off it at lvl 10)

Fire Crystal x 2 Sleepshrooms/Danceshrooms/or Woozyshrooms, Rock Salt
Yield: 1
Stack: 12

10-11 Sliced Sardine
In case I haven't mentioned it before now, fishing is a great way to support you Cooking habits, in more ways than one.
Not only will it provide a semi-stable flow of cash, but it will also provide you with materials to cook and lvl with.

wind crystal x bastore sardine
yield: 2
Stack: 12

11-13 Sliced Cod

wind crystal x Tiger Cod
Yield:6
Stack: 12

13-15 Slice of Bluetail

Wind Crystal x Bluetail
Yield: 4
Stack: 12

15-17 Roast Mutton
running along the same line as the Grilled Hare, great starting food - down side it does not stack. Materials ae easy
to get, either by farming sheep (the leathers and other drops can be sold or used to lvl leathercrafting) or leveling off
the sheep in La Theine or Ronf. with a new job.

Fire Crystal x Mhaura Garlic, Dried Majoram, Giant Sheep Meat
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

17-20 Apple Juice
DING the next greatest skill-up item. Again, make a bunch, send em to a mule, set it out for the night and BING, more
gil to craft with and open inventory space. Or, again, use em while leveling a new mage job.

Water Crystal x 4 Faerie Apples
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

17-20 Selbina Butter
Another GREAT seller - butter is used to SO many cooking synths. The milk can be gotten from a regional vendor,
or from the vendor IN Selbina near the Sub-job quest NPC. Sell it like you do the juices, only set your mule nearthe
cooking guild if at all possible. If, for some reason, the apples are NOT available anywhere for the apple Juice, or
if you just want to rotate synths - the butter is a great substitute for the Apple Juice. Good way to make money to
fund your cooking, even when you are no longer getting skill gains off it.

Ice Crystal x Selbina Milk, Rock Salt
Yield: 4
Stack: 12

20-23 Baked Apple
Good mage food, sells fairly well at times - if its not selling well in the AH, then ADVERTISE! Most people aren't aware
that this is an excellent substitute for Apple Pies. Its usually cheaper to make, can be sold cheaper, ect.

Fire Crystal x Selbina Butter, Maple Sugar, Cinnamon, Faerie Apple
Yield: 1
Stack: 12

23-26 Meat Jerky
Easy and cheap to make, sells semi-well. One of the few chioces around this lvl where you can get the materials easily
and cheaply. Another good beginner melee food.

Fire Crystal x Dried Marjoram, Rock Salt, Giant Sheep Meat
Yield: 2
Stack: 12

24/26-27 Boiled Crab
Not too bad a synth all in all - a MUST HAVE for all new PLDs. So sells fairly well =D Keep this synth in mind for
when you get to the later crafting lvls too. Its a wonderful way to support your cooking habit around lvl 40-60ish when
you can reliably HQ it.

Fire Crystal x Land Crab Meat, Bay Leaves, Rock Salt, Distilled Water
Yield: 1
Stack: 12

26-29 Dhalmel Steak
If one of the countries is in control of the Yhoater Jungle Area, this is a good alternative. Sells well in jeuno for a pretty
good price. This is another synth to keep in mind when you get to the higher crafting lvls to support your cooking habit.
Only downside is it does NOT stack =X

Fire Crystal x Black Pepper, Olive Oil, Dhalmel Meat
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

26-29 Insect Ball
The <3 of ALL fishermen, this is a guaranteed seller - buy the worms from the fishing NPC near Taumila's Sundries
in South Sandoria. Send it to a mule, set the mule out over night, and viola, as long as your prices are competetive,
I can almost guarantee that they will ALL be sold.

Earth Crystal x Little Worm, Millioncorn, Distilled Water
Yield: 12
Stack: 12

27-30 Pineapple Juice
DING counting down on all the juices ~ You can almost use them as a milestone to mark your cooking accomplishments!

Water Crystal x 2 Kazham Pineapples
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

30-35 Meatball
It's slim pickings around this lvl for decent synths =( This is probably the best, unless you chose the fishing route and can
make some other baits. My suggestion, NPC it all (unless you notice its going fairly well in the AH atm or can use it for
your own needs) and try to get past this point as quickly as possible. This is the first major bump in the cooking craft path,
and probably the least painful...

Fire Crystal x Sandy Flour, Distilled Water, Hare Meat
Yield: 12
Stack: 12

30-37 Bubble Chocolate
This is a viable option if you can travel to Kazham or if the region is controlled by a county. Sells fairly well
(especially around certain holidays!). Make sure to get synth support if you chose to start it early on.

Fire Crystal x 4 Kukuru Beans, Selbina Milk, Maple Sugar
Yield: 12
Stack: 12

36-38 Meat Mithkabobs
This one varies as to whether is a profit maker or not. The meat and onions can be pocket breakers, especially if
you lose a lot of materials on synths. My suggestion - wait till the last moment to start on these if you can. While
they sell fairly well, they CAN be pricey to make, so it's up to you.

Fire Crystal x Kazham Peppers, Cockatrice Meat, Wild Onion, Mhaura Garlic
Yield: 6
Stack: 12

35-40 Melon Juice
DING! you're starting to get up there! Head to Rabao or find the Kuzotz Regional Vendor if possible. This is THE best juice
to level a mage with, until you get to 41 when a rdm in the PT is a better substitute. Mule them - they will sell.

Water Crystal x Thundermelon, Watermelon
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

38-41 Windhurst Taco
a viable (though slow selling) substitute to the Juice. Buy the salads from the vendor in the inn by the cooking guild.
MUCH cheaper than making them.

Earth Crystal x Windhurst Salad, 2 Tortilla, Salsa
Yield: 6
Stack: 12

38-42 Pie Dough
Another great seller - a key ingredient to all pies, thus they sell well in bazaars and the AH. Make sure to keep this
recipie in mind when its time for you to start making the pies yourself!

Water Crystal x Sandy Flour, Selbina Butter, Rock Salt
Yield: 4
Stack: 12

41-43 Tomato Juice
Not a great seller, but you CAN bazaar it w/ advertising. make sure to buy the tomatoes from an npc either regional
or the one in Kazham.

Water Crystal x rock salt, 3 Mithran Tomatos
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

42-48 Apple Pie
another DING to add to yoru list =D The first of many pies to come, its a good seller.

Fire Crystal x Pie Dough, Maple Sugar, Cinnamon, Lizard Egg, Faerie Apple
Yield: 4
Stack: 12

46-50 Apple Pie
Just substitue the Lizard Egg for a Bird egg (can be bought from the NPC merchant at the airship docks for those rank 5+)

Fire Crystal x Pie Dough, Maple Sugar, Cinnamon, Bird Egg, Faerie Apple
Yield: 4
Stack: 12

48-52 Orange au Lait
Another not-so-great seller, but they DO sell, just slowly. Bazaar them and advertise or take your time and AH them.
Get ready for another wicked bump in the path to skilling up in the cooking craft.

Water Crystal x 4 Saruta Orange, Honey, Selbina Milk
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

51-52 Batagreen Sautee
I have one word for you.... BLEH =P NPC them if you can't sell them. These suck all around. If you are lucky you
might be able to AH a couple...

Fire Crystal x Batagreens, Selbina Butter

51-53 Bretzel
Another BIG bleh =P NPC them... they never sell -_-;

Fire Crystal x sandy flour, Selbina Butter, Rock Salt, Distilled Water, Bird Egg
Yield: 33
Stack: 99

53-55 Beaugreen Sautee
another NPC'er -_-; Start making some of those other foods that I mentioned to provide you with enough ready
gil to get you past this bump as fast as possible ~ It's a painful one.

Fire Crystal x Selbina Butter, Beaugreens
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

53-56 Panama Tart
I never made these, the supplies weren't available when I struggled through this level, so I can't tell you how
well these sell.

Fire Crystal x Sandy Flour, Selbina Butter, 2 Bbl. Chocolate, Pamama, Maple Sugar, Distilled Water, Bird Egg
Yield: 1
Stack: ?

55-60 Yagudo Drink
The ~final~ (and ultimate) mage drink. These are MUST HAVES for bcnms, avatar battles, you name it. Save
any and all dark crystals you get while farming/leveling off of funguars and send them to a mule. You'll appreciate
it when you get to this point and don't have to shell out 10-20k for a stack of dark crystals. Also, make sure to buy these
ingredients from the Regional Vendor!

Dark Crystal x Yagudo Cherry, 3 Buburimu Grapes
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

58-62 Melon Pie
DING 2 on the Pie Path! And the only one till your 80's when you can start on the Pumpkin Pies.

Fire Crystal x Thundermelon, Cinnamon, Lizard Egg, Pie Dough, Maple Sugar
Yield: 4
Stack: 12

60-64 Melon Pie
again, substitute the Lizard Eggs for Bird Eggs.

Fire Crystal x Thundermelon, Cinnamon, Bird Egg, Pie Dough, Maple Sugar
Yield: 4
Stack: 12

64-66 Colored Egg
If you time it right - start making these around the easter rush - so far every year they've been used in the Easter Moogle
Quests. If not, then I'm so sorry! m(-_-m These can be another BIG bump.... *sigh* NPC or if you are stubborn you
can TRY to bazaar or AH a few of them. I wish you luck.

Fire Crystal x Sandy Carrot, Lizard Egg, La Theine Cbg, Distilled Water
Yield: 1
Stack: 12

64-69 Colored Egg
Sub Lizard Egg for Bird again
Fire Crystal x Sandy Carrot, Bird Egg, La Theine Cbg, Distilled Water
Yield: 1
Stack: 12

66-70 San d'Orian Tea
Start preparing for skill ups ata snail's pace if you haven't experienced them already. This is about when things start
REALLY slowing down for your gains. The tea does slow, if a bit slowly. If you have BRD friends, try and sell it to them
at cost, and toss the rest in the AH. If all else fails, NPC them - the loss isn't too bad... or it wasn't back when the
crystals didnt cost 15k a stack -_-;

Fire Crystal x Windurstian Tea Leaves, Sage, Selbina Milk, Maple Sugar, Distilled Water
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

68-72 Pear au Lait
Doesn't sell too bad in the AH - goes through spurts. Just don't undersell yourself. Mainly used by people doing BCNMs
and such. Wait to make this till someone controlls the Derfland Region.

Water Crystal x 2 Derfland Pear, Honey, Selbina Milk
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

71-77 Navarin
GODLY food, sells well too =D skip over all the other crud available at this lvl and and get some synth support from
the guild. It's worth it. Just make sure to have planty of inventory space -it does NOT stack, and you have 8 seperate
ingredients to work with.

Fire Crystal x Olive Oil, Black Pepper, Mithran Tomoato, Popoto, Wild Onion, rock Salt, Distilled Water, Giant Sheep Meat
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

77-80 Shallops Tropicale
another GODLY food - UBER for PLD's. there are a few other options at this lvl, but this is what I went with. You need
a good starting supply of gil, but as long as you dont over pay for your supplies, and some asshat isn't underselling in
the AH trying to speed craft, you'll be well set to make a decent profit. The shall shells are whats gonna hurt you - if
you can farm them or fish them yourself.

Fire Crystal x 2 Shall Shell, Kazham Pineapple, Selbina Butter, Bay Leaves, Rock Salt, Distilled Water
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

78-81 Pamama au Lait
nice to switch to for a change from the Shallops if materials are getting scarce

Water Crystal x 2 Pamama, Selbina Milk, Honey
Yield: 1
Stack: 1

80-83 Chamomile Tea
Much like the sandy tea, npc it, sell to your friend brd's, or try patiently at the AH

Fire Crystal x 2 Chamomile, Distilled Water, Honey
Yield: 1
Stack:1

80-85 Pumpkin Pie
DING! {Congratulations!} you've reached the 80's! Only downside is that there is no Lizard Egg version of either the
pumpkin pie or rolanberry ;_;

Fire Crystal x Ogre Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Selbina Butter, Selbina Milk, Pie Dough, Maple Sugar, Distilled Water, Bird Egg
Yield: 4
Stack: 12

85-90 Rolanberry Pie
DING DING DING! /hurray! You've reached the last pie and are on the last leg of the cooking path.

Fire Crystal x Sandy Flour, Gelatin, Selbina Milk, Pie Dough, Maple Sugar, Rolanberry, Bird Egg
Yield: 4
Stack: 12 (this USED to be a non-stackable food... THANK YOU SE for finally chaning that!!!)

87-91 Persikos au Lait
Just for a change from the Rolanberry Pies... cuz yer gonna be making and awful lot of them! =X

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ And this is where I'll leave you all. The last 10 levels are an arduous and painful trip, and there is
no one better path above the other. Chose for yourself, and keep in mind - you LOVE this craft! Don't get discouraged,
don't let your frustrations overwhelm you, and don't Worry! /cheer /cheer /cheer You've made it this far, you can make it the
rest of the way too! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
